How to Change Minds and Manipulate People

In today’s world we are no strangers to the notion of mind control. The Wolf of Wall Street depicted more then the denigration of a master manipulator decaying with the glamour of greed; its protagonist caricatures our national identity – our American Dream – where extroverted emptiness denotes the well-adjusted; where our leaders are picked not for their virtues or integrity – but in spite of them. Seminars and entire industries of self-help guruhood are built around the anatomy (and promise) of seduction. Those who excel at ‘impression management’ win the favor of employers , beat out the odds for an ivy league education, gather followers on Twitter and Youtube, cash in commission checks, and ascend the ranks of the Fortune 500. Shows like Shark Tank propagandize the holy tenants of a secular national creed – it’s seduction – and that’s not just a finesse for getting laid.  It’s the key to controlling minds…and pocketing the dividends.

At this point I suspect you are likely asking yourself , to what extent can a person be influenced by the adept mental machinist? Surely mind control is a Frankenstein exaggeration – surely the majority of our acts and our thoughts are our own? A man cannot be coerced against his own will – his own desire?

The CIA asked themselves this as well, supposedly after stumbling over reports of the KGB’s lengthy investigation into behavioral control. The space race was not the only research relay that took play during the decades of the Cold War. Quietly, prominent figures in the fledgling field of psychology began to operationalize these questions. And although the practice of subverting will has been a secret of statecraft for thousands of years – from Machiavelli to Sun Tzu – certain humans would endeavor to make it an art.

  1. Can we “condition” by post-hypnotic suggestion, agency employees (or persons of interest to this agency) to prevent them from giving information to any unauthorized source or for committing any act on behalf of a foreign or domestic enemy?
  2. Can we, in a matter of an hour, two hours, one day, etc. induce a hypnotic condition in an UNwilling subject to such an extent that he will perform an act for our benefit? (Long range)
  3. Can we create by post-hypnotic control an action contrary to an individual’s basic moral principles?
  4. Could we seize a subject and in the space of an hour or two by post-hypnotic control have him crash an airplane, wreck a train, etc.? (Short, immediate activity)

Most of you are probably aware of the mind control experiment that was eventually declassified under the heading ‘MK-Ultra’. Outlandish as it initially sounds, the existence of the project can verified by a cursory glance at the publicly available (albeit, highly sanitized) declassified mk ultra report.

The prevailing popular perception of MK-Ultra portrays it as a blip of momentary insanity, perhaps because it makes us uncomfortable to believe lobotomy, involuntary LSD ‘dosing’, and extreme physical and psychological torture could be a product of anything but the dark ages, let alone a tool for ‘covert behavioral manipulation’ tested on soldiers, veterans, prisoners, and ordinary civilians. Officially, the entire venture was scrapped within 10 years , having been deemed an embarrassing failure.

Like every great liar, the magicians responsible for the declassified report understood that sometimes there is nothing more deceptive then telling a little bit of the truth. The following was quoted from the database of the George Washington University’s National Security Archive with respect to the CIA’s MK-Ultra program [emphasis added]:

In the 1950s and 60s, the CIA engaged in an extensive program of human experimentation, using drugs, psychological, and other means, in search of techniques to control human behavior for counterintelligence and covert action purposes. […]

Project MKULTRA, […] was a program “concerned with research and development of chemical, biological, and radiological materials capable of employment in clandestine operations to control human behavior.”

MKULTRA was the subject of extensive internal, congressional, and outside investigations in the 1970s. In 1973, the CIA purposefully destroyed most of the MKULTRA files concerning its research and testing on human behavior.

In 1977, the agency uncovered additional MKULTRA files in the budget and fiscal records that were not indexed under the name MKULTRA. These documents detailed over 150 subprojects that the CIA funded in this area []

Those who know for certain what was written on the pages of many thousand burned reports will probably never tell, and lest threats of an amputated tongue do nothing to demure talk, the purge of records would castrate efforts of future investigation. By taking the initiative in declassifying the MKUltra report, not only did the CIA take the wind out of the sails of potential whistleblowers with a preemptive maneuver – they also controlled the narrative , while retaining the ‘substance’ of the mind control findings for their own exclusive use.

But the extent to which the veil of secrecy protects the magician’s illusion depends upon his ability to distract and misdirect his audience. It seems logical to assume that even Penn and Teller would have to work a bit harder to enchant an audience of trained wizards. But our society is predator friendly, and the socially-empowered lawmakers have historically tended to write laws that protect the feeding frenzy by conglomerates of politically incestuous corporations.

Once an idea has been born into the world, there is no turning around and bringing it back. For better or worse, we use all of our inventions. There are few prospects more appealing then weapons which elicit compliance without provoking violence and fostering dissent. The only postmodern war of a global era could be the war for the control of human consciousness itself. The exponential computing power now available in conjunction with the insights of psychology’s ‘dark and hidden arts’ means that the behavior and personality of entire populations can be charted, modeled, and influenced by ever expanding orders of correlation from within the ever-expanding ‘web’ of human knowledge.

Never before in human history have we been subject to near complete co-consciousness with technological and digital systems. The misery of the peasantry of the dark ages was material, but in the modern world our abuse is electric. The invisible network connecting our cell phones and our laptops to the indranet continues to occupy an increasing percentage of waking life – and that means we are never divorced from the Wizards of Oz. We are functionally cyborg, because the majority of us time share our conscious perception with the digital world and are thus subject to its influence.

I have chosen to publish a collection of complete PDFs that teach seduction in its most effective and widespread application.

In an unprecedented era for the human species, having a working understanding of the ways in which free will is distorted may be the only defense that separates the human spirit from its complete occupation by the abyss.

Too many malevolent hands are now armed with the weapons of psychological war . Those who remain intent on preserving the integrity of free will must enlighten themselves to its malcontents.
